This particular trip the Hampton I normally stay at was booked so I went on to find a room. The Hampton Inn was the only 2 1/2 star hotel in that area. This hotel was a 3 star, so we made a bid knowing we would get one or the other since they were the only two options. This hotel accepted my bid so I figured that I would have a better room that the Hampton. Boy was I ever surprised when I was given a room in your Delaware Lodge! The room was clean, I give it that much, but this is by no means a 3 star room. I would say it is not even a 1 star. I feel this is classic bait and switch on your hotels part. You show pictures of the Inn itself which may in fact be a 3 star room but if you book you get put in this dump. There is no security on the outside door entering the hall so anyone could walk in the hall at any point which is not very safe. The shower in room has a big hole in it. The carpet is worn and the over all room is not very nice. Not only that but when I checked out the lady at the front desk told me that I would be charged a $15 per day resort charge. I informed her that this better not be on my credit card and if it is I will have Visa get involved. I never saw a soul during my stay. ...read more

Outstanding location with our room overlooking a small lawn, and then the Delaware River.
The rooms were clean and neat, but small and dated.

This is a very nice hotel on the Delaware River. It was clearly a first class resort in it's heyday, and is still a very nice resort adjacent to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The food and service were excellent. There was a nice looking golf course, which I did not have time to play, as well as an executive golf course that was free to play, even for kids, after 6:00 pm. It was very family friendly. ...read more

Nostalgic.
Very small room.

Obviously they placed us in the least expensive room. It was very
small, smaller then most economy lodges.

Historic and quaint hotel in a beautiful and scenic setting.
Nothing.

I highly recommend this hotel, which is in a resort setting. The location, right next to the Delaware River, offers great views of the mountains across the river in New Jersey. Rooms are nicely decorated and well maintained. Restaurant offers a quality menu, but fairly pricey. ...read more
